About

I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and have been accredited by the UKCP since 2012. I am a member of the EMDR Association.

My core approach is Transactional analysis integrated with person centred therapy, CBT and Gestalt therapy. I am an EMDR practitioner and find this approach very useful in working with clients who have experienced trauma.

I have worked in mental health for almost 20 years, within a diverse range of settings, such as NHS primary care, the prison service, an eating disorders service and I have worked solely with survivors of sexual violence for more than 10 years.

I have a specialist knowledge in working with trauma, PTSD, sexual violence and eating disorders, alongside presenting problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, self esteem, LGBTQ, relationship difficulties, bereavement and OCD.
I have a wealth of experience in working with people individually and have developed and facilitated group programmes and delivered long term survivor support groups.

My relationship with clients is at the heart of my work, therefore building trust and rapport is at the forefront. I am a warm and empathic practitioner and offer a safe and respectful place to explore feelings in order for change to begin.
